How Does it Work?

The operation is based on a laser emitter and a leveling mechanism:

1. Laser Emitter (Diode): A semiconductor diode converts electrical energy into a concentrated, low-divergence beam of light.
2. Collimator Lens/Prism: This component aligns the light into a straight, parallel, and visible line or dot.
3. Leveling Mechanism (Compensator): This is the “precision” part.
   • Self-Leveling: NAIVAL PRECISION lasers use a magnetic or electronic compensator (like a pendulum or internal sensors) to automatically detect and correct minor tilts (typically + 10). This ensures the laser beam is perfectly horizontal or vertical, even if the device’s base is slightly uneven.
   • Manual/Digital: More sophisticated tools, especially those used for land grading, may use electronic sensors and servo motors for the highest accuracy or allow for manual entry of specific slopes (dual-slope functionality).
